Welcome
Whether you are a student of, or a seasoned practitioner of Ayurveda, Chinese or Western medicine—or the pursuit of health in general—you’ll find resources here to help you or your patients make life choices that support healthy bodies, hormones, and spirits, wherever you may be, in whatever stage of life or wellness you find yourself.
These resources are mostly rooted in Eastern and Ayurvedic principles.
What is Ayurveda? You can read more about it in these pages but—in short—it’s a little bit of everything. Ayurveda means, "the science of life," and life is a little bit of everything--diet, emotions, obligations, exercise, relationships, spiritual pursuits, daily routines.
Ayurveda helps us understand how what we do, think, feel, eat, buy and expose ourselves to, affects our bodies, minds, spirits, and relationships. From there, we can alter things to improve our lives.
Why improve our lives? Isn't that self-indulgent?
One one hand, we can agree with Humphrey Bogart, in Casablanca, when he says it doesn't take much to see that our personal problems don't “amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world."
On the other hand, one of my teachers wrote, "Wanted: Reformers: not of others, but of ourselves." It turns out, what’s good for us is generally beneficial for the greater good. When we are healthy, it has a positive impact on our families, communities and the planet.
So. Maybe grab a hot cup of organic, raw cacao, read a blog —my most informal forum for chatting about whatever is on my mind; peruse a newsletter, which includes, well, news. And sometimes recipes or more formal articles about intriguing aspects of health & wellness, check out the book Balance Your Hormones, Balance Your Life (self-explanatory) or, if you are a die-hard advanced student of Ayurveda or yoga, consider the admittedly academic, but thought-provoking eBook, “Secrets of the Mind: The Ten Channels Revealed,” download “Prana,” a cd of visualizations designed to support mental and physical balance, or just settle in for a good browse…
Thanks for being here.
In Love,
cw
