Special Session: Aunties’ Story Circle

A Free Community Gathering

Anyone and everyone was warmly invited to and gifted this free one -time, one-hour Aunties’ Story Circle, hosted by Dr. Welch and participants of Menopause Chronicles:

For nearly two years, participants in Menopause Chronicles have been gathering to explore the physical, emotional, and spiritual transformations that accompany menopause and the movement into the second half of life. We have lived a good stretch of life already. Between us, there is a great deal of experience and practice in listening to one another’s stories and sharing our own.

This Aunties’ Story Circle was a gift from us to you.

It was open to anyone — of any age, gender, or sex — who would like to briefly share stories of current trials, transitions, uncertainties, or joys. Perhaps something you are not quite sure how to navigate.

The “aunties” — participants who have been exploring this terrain together — may respond with stories from our own lives that touch similar themes.

You may hear something that helps you see your situation differently.
You may hear something that suggests a way to navigate — or not navigate — what you are facing.
Or you may simply feel more at ease through the experience of being heard.

In this circle:

  • We do not ask for advice.
  • We do not give advice.
  • We do not diagnose or treat.

We are not therapists, and this is not therapy. It is a storytelling circle. If you think it might be triggering, maybe good to pass on this or have a therapist or good friend on hand to help.

Please contact us for the link to this recorded session or–if you are going into, through or beyond menopause and would like to learn through community, guest instructors and story, please join us in our live, twice-monthly Menopause Chronicles circle.
