Join Dr. Welch and Menopause Chronicles participants as we welcome our guest instructor Tammi Sweet on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at 6:00 PM Eastern Time (New York).
Sleep is one of the most common struggles women bring into midlife, and menopause often makes it harder to ignore. In this session, Tammi Sweet brings together her background in neurobiology, endocrinology, anatomy, and herbal medicine to explore why sleep becomes so fragile at this stage of life—and what can actually help.
Drawing from physiology as well as earth-based and herbal traditions, Tammi will look at sleep as a whole-body process shaped by hormones, the nervous system, daily rhythms, and our relationship with the natural world. Together with Dr. Claudia Welch and our Menopause Chronicles community, she will consider practical, grounded ways to support more reliable rest—and ask what it means to listen to the body when it keeps us awake at night.
Tammi Sweet is the co-founder and co-director of The Heartstone Center for Earth Essentials near Ithaca. For the past 30 years she has taught thousands of students in a variety of learning environments. She offers classes in herbal medicine, along with courses in anatomy and physiology both in-person and online. Sweet holds a master’s degree in endocrinology, and her work bridges modern science with embodied, earth-based wisdom.
This live session is part of the Menopause Chronicles membership and requires an active subscription. You’re warmly welcome to join us—memberships can be canceled anytime.
