Each interaction each of us has with other human beings, animals, plants and our environment, yields either a medicinal, neutral or poisonous effect on them and on us. Each one of us has the capacity to act as medicine, act as a neutral force, or as poison to ourselves as well as others. The ancient texts of Ayurveda taught four qualities physicians need to cultivate in order to have medicinal effects on their patients. These four qualities can be cultivated by each of us, whether or not we are health care practitioners, so that we all serve to support healing in ourselves as well as others. This healing goes beyond diet, beyond supplements, beyond exercise. In this workshop, we will explore how we can each cultivate the four qualities taught in the ancient texts, such that we nourish our potential to become medicine and contribute to the net wonder, health, mystery and innate goodness in all.
